Why Vote?

The Millennial Generation is now the largest voting bloc in the country, having surpassed the aging Baby Boomers for control of the electorate.  However, Millennials must increase their voter turnout to surpass the far higher turnout of Boomers.  Otherwise, Boomers will continue to stay in control and will continue to be the generation that decides the overall outcome of elections.

Unfortunately, young people don’t usually see the importance of voting.  Of all age groups, it is the youngest Americans who have the lowest voter turnout.  While it is true that Millennials have typically had a higher turnout than other generations did in their youth, they still have a lot of room for improvement.  And if we want to keep older people from having control of our future, we need to vote!!!!!

Below are two videos that I recorded about the importance of voting, and I strongly encourage you to watch them both.  The first one I recorded in September of 2016, the second one I recorded in September of 2018.  I’ll admit, they are a little long (especially the first one), but it is worth your time to watch them.  In fact, I’m so confident in the value of these videos that I’m attaching a 100% money-back guarantee to them  😉 .

It simply cannot be overstated how critical voting is to a democratic Republic. It is the single most important factor in the strength and vitality of our democracy.  And as much as we want to blame politicians and lobbyists/special interests groups for the enormous mess we are in right now, this mess was actually created by the American people (if you want to find out why, watch the first video).

The bottom line is, folks, if we want to see real change in our nation, we need to change the leaders we have in Washington.  And the only way we can do that is by voting out the bad ones and voting in better ones.  So really what needs to change is the attitudes of the American people.  We cannot continue to believe that we are powerless to what is happening to our country.  Your vote matters, your vote counts, and your vote is what gives our democracy life.  Don’t believe me, watch the videos.  I promise they’ll change your mind.
